At Eden, we take pride in creating high-quality environments that enhance the experience of those who use them every day. One project that continues to stand out within our education portfolio is the successful delivery of Phase 3 works at South Hampstead Junior School, part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST).

Having previously completed Phases 1 and 2, Eden was appointed to deliver the final phase of external improvement works across two operational school buildings at Netherhall Gardens.
Working within a live educational environment required careful planning, coordination and communication throughout the project. Safeguarding, access management and minimising disruption to pupils and staff remained key priorities from start to finish.
The 14-week programme included extensive landscaping and external improvement works designed to enhance the school’s outdoor spaces. The scope included new fencing and storage facilities, surfacing and edging works, and the installation of new play equipment to create engaging and practical outdoor environments for pupils.

Our team developed a phased delivery strategy that maintained safe access across both sites while ensuring programme certainty and quality workmanship. Close collaboration with the Girls’ Day School Trust and the school team ensured the project objectives were achieved efficiently and safely.
The completed works have transformed the external environment, providing improved play and recreational spaces that support the day-to-day experience of pupils while complementing the wider school estate.
This project reflects Eden’s expertise in delivering complex construction and landscaping projects within live educational settings and reinforces the strong working relationship developed with GDST through the successful delivery of multiple phases.
We are proud to showcase this project as part of our growing education sector portfolio and look forward to supporting more schools in creating inspiring environments for future generations.
