The property presented significant challenges from the outset. It was a completely derelict former commercial office, requiring a full strip out and structural alterations. The programme was tight, with a fixed deadline to ensure the building was ready for incoming international students.
In addition to the accommodation, the Ground Floor needed to be converted into a fully functioning staff office, creating a dual purpose environment within a constrained footprint.
Eden successfully delivered a fully revitalised building, transforming a derelict structure into a modern, purpose built environment for both students and staff.
The completed scheme provides 14 student bedrooms, a graduate helper room, a self-contained house-parent flat, and shared lounge, kitchen, and laundry facilities across both upper floors.
The Ground Floor now offers a professional and flexible office environment to support staff operations.
Despite the complexity and tight timeframe, the project was delivered on schedule and within budget, enabling students to move in ahead of the January intake and begin their studies at Oxford International College without delay.
