We converted a former office building into a new SEN school, delivering a full fit out and complex structural works under tight programme constraints.The challenge The project involved transforming a former office building into a fully functioning SEN (special educational needs) school. Alongside a complete fit out, the brief required a change of use and significant reconfiguration of the building layout. One of the biggest challenges was the relocation of staircases, which demanded complex structural works. In addition, the project had to be delivered against tight time constraints while managing the impact of long lead items.
