THE CHALLENGE

Delivering refurbishment works within an occupied civic building required careful planning and coordination throughout the programme.

As council staff continued operating from the building during the works, the project had to be phased floor by floor to minimise disruption and maintain business continuity. This required close collaboration with the client to coordinate staff movements and ensure safe working practices were maintained at all times.

Working within live environments also meant maintaining clear communication, controlled access and flexible scheduling to keep the project progressing efficiently.

The completed refurbishment has modernised key internal areas within the Civic Centre, creating refreshed and practical spaces for council staff and visitors.
